If you fancy seafood delicacy, Bubba Gump might be able to satisfy your craving on seafood, especially shrimp. I often go to this place whenever I want to have decent western-style seafood. It is an America restaurant chain located in The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. At ordinary afternoon or dinner time, this place often packed with people and sometimes you might be waiting for quite some time to get a seat.
American Concept Bubba Gump from an American Movie
The place is adopting open-concept space, which is useful if the weather not hazy like now. This place also right for a drink and enjoy some snacks for Friday night or a decent family dinner place. As you can see, the place decorated with stuff from the movie ‘Run Forest Run’ which quite famous in the 90’s era.
If you want to call waiters, find the blue metal plate above, and flip the red one to the front, then the waiters will come to see you. The service is efficient, as many people will run around to check if the customer turns the metal plate into a red color, which means to tell the waiters to stop by at their table and entertain your queries. This idea outstandingly brilliant, when the restaurant pack, it is somewhat hard to call waiters to come to you, have not to count the noise which adding the challenge to call waiters.
Go for Shrimp in Bubba Gump
We order the shrimp cocktail, as the waiters recommend this one in bubba Gump if you are the first time. Whenever you order this before they serve. They will do some samba dance while shaking your prawn like making a cocktail. Sometimes they will ask the lady to squeeze the lemon for them before they shake it. I recommend you to get this if you do dine here the first time. Entertain yourself with some macho and hot guy dancing the samba in front of you. The shrimp is fresh and tastes sweet. It seems they steam the shrimp to bring out its sweetness.
For the main dish, I am ordering their particular butter sauce fish. The Malaysia restaurant contains a halal certificate, they did not mix with beer. Wherein other places like the US it includes beer. The taste rather good enough, just that a bit salty to my preference, but the butter tastes marvelous. I wish to have this meal in bubba Gump US to feel the authentic taste.

Overall this restaurant serving good quality seafood. They have quite a variety of types of seafood that you can choose, depending on your preference and budget, of course. Overall this place is worth to recommend, and you would not be disappointed by the portion of the serving.

PS: I was told the Bubba Gump has decided to close its store in Malaysia. It is kind of sad news.
