The location is decorated with Korean feelings. If you like bbq, they do serve bbq as well, of course with Korean style. When I read the review, some highly recommended this place utterly because the food is pretty much authentic. They are doing the right thing to bring out Korean ambient and mood into the dining area. You will feel like you are entering some restaurant in Korea. People will greet you with some Korean phrase to welcome you. Just that some word is hard to pronounce, even the restaurant name Gogung Korean is quite difficult too.

I like their rice cake, the taste is the same as the one I ate in Korea, and it is a less spicy version as my father could not eat as spicy as me. The pancakes are outstanding as well, although it is the easiest to make. To have ‘Korean taste’ is not something easy to make. The other two dishes are slightly different from what I had in Korea. But it is very close to the point it is hard to differentiate if you are not very sensitive towards the taste.

Highlight

One thing that why this GoGung Korean restaurant is outstanding compare with other restaurants. GoGung offers an unlimited refill of any side dishes; in fact, I had refill more than five times! Waiters keep giving me the side dishes in a friendly manner (unlike some restaurants, they limit how many you can refill). I like to eat Korean meals in the Ssambab way. You will get the unique flavor in your mouth. Only one thing that I am still can’t mix my Ssambab with raw garlic. Korean people love to eat fresh garlic.

Overall, the experience that I had with Gogung Korean restaurant is marvelous. The service is good. Food comes pretty fast! One thing to add, the kimchi needs to improve. This place is worth mentioning for those who want to taste the authentic taste of Korean food.
